The system allows you to define multiple Warehouses within a Depot. A Warehouse is a storage area so could be covered or uncovered. The Warehouse features prominently in the various rules so it offers the opportunity to define your storage areas for maximum procedural benefit. For example you may have a section of your Warehouse that is reserved for one client whereas the rest is used for any client. You could manage this using zones but alternatively you could set up two virtual warehouses, thereby freeing up zones for use in further differentiating the warehouse spaces.

The warehouse fields are quite straight forward and are explained below.

Warehouse The unique identifier of the Warehouse

Depot The Depot which the Warehouse forms part of.

Address The address of the Warehouse. This address is used on both Inward and Outward orders and is passed to any related Transport job.
