Put Away cards are the method provided to manage the rules that are to apply to the placing of new inward products in the Warehouse. The system works on the principal of inspecting all Put Away Cards and, commencing with the highest ranking one, will use the first Put Away Card it finds that matches the Inward Goods Docket.
Ranking Points
Ranking points are determined by the data that you will be able to match against an inward goods docket. The points are summed up based upon the data that is available to make a match between the card and the product.
The points that make up the ranking points are shown below. Points are deducted from an initial total to create the ranking points, the initial total being 8192 (twice 4096). Points are deducted if the field is null.
Customer 4096
Product 2048
Stock Type 1024
Stock Category 512
UNNO 256
Item Type 128
Tyre Type 64
Prime Group 32
Secondary Group 16
Therefore the more data you are able to give the system about the basis for the rule the stronger it will be ranked.

The search view above illustrates how the ranking system works. The highest ranked card has a specific Customer, Product and Secondary Group. The lowest ones have very little that is specific so act as a “catch all” for any order that doesn’t have a specific requirement.
Put Away Card Matching
When inspecting the various Put Away Cards the system carries out a match. This is a process of comparing various fields on the product to that on the match to determine if it is correct to use the specific Put Away Card

Put Away Card Rules
The rules that are applied at time of put away are primarily location based although there are also options aimed at ensuring accuracy.
![]()
The rules to be applied are shown above. All rules can work in conjunction with each other. Firstly the system inspects the location based fields to determine what group of locations are to be considered. In the example above the product is to be placed in the Warehouse Chilled in Row A, Height 2. The first location within the group under consideration that has the capacity and that enables the following two conditions to be adhered to will be used.
The two conditions are;
Unique Product The product is only to be stored in a location which has no other products in it.
Unique Reference The product is only to be stored in a location where all other products have an identical Product Reference (eg: Batch Number).
