The Inward Movement Allocations facility is filtered to show inward movement lines that have a status of “On Site” meaning they require put away. It is provided to assist operations to allocate this work and to record its completion.
The allocation can be carried out easily from the search view or alternatively it can be carried out manually through the detail view.
Allocation Using Search View
![]()
The default search view shows all inward movements that require put away. The user can filter further to restrict the list to only those movements they are interested in, for example only the chilled product. To allocate movements you must first tick the movements you wish to allocate, using the tick boxes on the left. Once you have made your selection click on the button headed “Allocate Store Person”. This will open a search view of the store personnel as shown below.
![]()
Tick the person you wish to allocate to and click on the Select button.
The selected movements are then allocated to the selected store person and the status is set to Allocated. The movements will remain on the screen and selected which enables you to easily print a put away form if you wish. When you consider the allocation has been completed click on the search button to refresh the screen, removing the allocated movements.
Manual Processing
The user can manually edit the movement, either for allocation or for recording completion of the put away.
![]()
The manual edit process commences by clicking on the blue edit / view button to the right of the movement. This will open the detail view as shown above. The detail view shows data related to the movement for enquiry purposes. The functions that may be carried out by the user within this view are;
Allocation Enter the store person who is to carry out the allocation. Change the Status to “Allocated”.
Record Completion Change the Status to “Completed”. Set the Date Completed field to the appropriate date.
Location Alter the location the movement is to be (or was) stored in.
