Category Administration

There are occasions where it is necessary to accumulate values within a rate calculation in order to apply an adjustment to that value. An example of this is the Fuel Adjustment Factor which is applied to freight calculation lines but not to non-freight lines

In order to facilitate this TLP enables you to apply a category to any calculation line. Values are accumulated for each category code and these values can be adjusted at the end of the rate card calculation.

The system is provided with a category of FAF set up for your use. As shown below the category of FAF can be applied to any calculation line.

In this example the FAF category code has been applied to a bulk line of $20 per tonne. At the end of the calculation the adjustments section (see below) allows us to apply a factor to the FAF category total in order to calculate the FAF value.
